Willie J. Epps Jr. Joins Dowd Bennett
Dowd Bennett is pleased to announce that Willie J. Epps Jr. has joined the firm as a partner. Mr. Epps is a trial lawyer focused on complex civil litigation and white collar criminal defense. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Epps was a partner at Shook, Hardy & Bacon, LLP, in Kansas City, Missouri for over seven years. Mr. Epps has extensive experience representing corporations and individuals in cases alleging catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, and product liability, in both federal and state courts across the country. Before entering private practice, Mr. Epps served as an Air Force JAG, special assistant U.S. Attorney, and Assistant Special Counsel for Senator John C. Danforth on The Waco Investigation. Mr. Epps is a graduate of St. Louis Country Day School, Amherst College and Harvard Law School. He was elected Student Body President at all three schools. Since 2012, he has served on the Teaching Faculty for Harvard Law School’s Trial Advocacy Workshop. Mr. Epps is listed in Best Lawyers in America® and Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers.
