Jim Bennett Named MVP on BTI’s Client Service All-Stars List 2024
BTI Consulting Group just released its 23rd annual list of Client Service All-Stars listing almost 300 US attorneys whom clients report deliver superior client service. Jim Bennett, one of the founders of Dowd Bennett LLP, was one of only four St. Louis lawyers on the list, and the only St. Louis lawyer recognized in the “trial and appellate” practice area.
Bennett also was highlighted by BTI as being one of only 45 “Most Valuable Players” across the country—and the only St. Louis lawyer with that distinction—having qualified for BTI’s All-Star list for four years. BTI’s release includes quotations from Mr. Bennett’s clients: “Mr. Bennett is one of my top litigators, maybe the best I’ve ever worked with,” and “He knows how we operate well, and is one of the best trial attorneys out there.”
To compile its list of Client Service All-Stars, BTI interviews more than 300 in-house lawyers at companies in more than 15 industries. Its research revealed that clients select the client service all-stars because those lawyers provide novel ideas and insights, are the first to know important developments in a rapidly-changing field, provide clear and concise recommendations, and foresee future issues and how they may impact the client.
“It is satisfying to have Jim be recognized again for providing excellent client service,” said Dowd Bennett co-founder Ed Dowd, “because our firm was founded on the principle that practicing law is about more than simply winning a particular dispute—it’s about understanding the client’s business and using the full spectrum of legal tools to help the client achieve both its immediate and long-term objectives.”
The Client Service All-Stars list “is the hardest—and most meaningful—ranking and recognition in the world,” BTI explained. “No one gets on this list unless a top legal decision maker recognizes them, without prompt or suggestion, along with a good reason why. No law firm or attorney can pay, influence, or refer themselves in. Attorneys only get on this list by outperforming everyone else.”
