Because hunger doesn’t take the weekend off

For some children in St. Louis, school provides more than an education and an opportunity to play with friends at recess.  It provides meals to children who otherwise might not have access to food.  On February 15th, Dowd Bennett partnered with St. Louis Attorneys Against Hunger and Operation Food Search to pack 1,000 bags of food for kids to take home from school on Friday afternoons.  The bags of food provide nourishment to the students throughout the weekend, because unlike school, hunger doesn’t give kids a break on Saturdays and Sundays.
