For The Seventh Consecutive Year, Dowd Bennett Is Recognized for Corporate Philanthropy
Dowd Bennett was recognized by the St. Louis Business Journal for being the most philanthropic small company in the St. Louis region. The recognition came during an April 11 breakfast at the Frontenac Hilton where partner Kelly Murrie accepted the award on behalf of the firm. Murrie is well known for her philanthropic efforts especially in the areas of ALS and Komen Missouri.
Dowd Bennett contributed over $2 million in cash and in-kind contributions in 2023 with the largest regional donations going to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri, Greater St. Louis Inc., Boys & Girls Club of Greater St. Louis and the Regional Crime Commission.
When asked about the importance of philanthropy, founding partner Ed Dowd said, “The principle of giving is important. While Dowd Bennett has earned its reputation as a first-rate law firm, it also wants to be known for its compassion and generosity. To whom much is given, much is expected. Dowd Bennett wants to live up to that maxim.”
