Dowd Bennett Secures Summary Judgment for Anheuser-Bush Companies, Inc.

Dowd Bennett Partners Jim Bennett, John Comerford and Megan Heinsz obtained summary judgment for Anheuser-Busch in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri on a former A-B employee’s claim for severance benefits under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA).  The district court held that the plaintiff was given a full and fair review of his claim and the decision denying benefits was not an abuse of discretion.  The case is Robert D. Carr v. Anheuser-Busch Companies, Inc., Case No. 4:10-cv-1729.
