Dowd Bennett Partner Terry O’Toole Successfully Prosecutes Pro Bono Murder Case

Dowd Bennett partner Terry O’Toole secured second-degree murder and armed criminal action convictions against two defendants in the death of Brandon Scott which occurred in September, 2021 in the City of St. Louis.  O’Toole serves as Special Assistant Circuit Attorney in the City of St. Louis’ Circuit Attorney’s Office on a pro bono basis.

“Congratulations to Terry and his team at the Circuit Attorney’s Office (CAO) for securing this conviction,” said founding partner Ed Dowd.  “Since our former partner, Gabe Gore, became Circuit Attorney nearly 14 months ago, the CAO is now functioning as it should which means taking cases to trial and securing convictions.  This is good for the citizens of St. Louis as well as everyone in our region.”
