Michael Gans concentrates on complex litigation in both state and federal courts, including appeals. Michael spent over 41 years in key management positions in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, including more than 33 years as the Clerk of Court, where he was responsible for the management of 3,500 new appeals each year. Michael also served on numerous policy advisory committees for the federal courts and advised court systems in Macedonia and India. Before joining the Eighth Circuit Clerk’s Office in 1983 as chief deputy clerk, Michael practiced law with a St. Louis-based law firm, representing school boards and public bodies. After graduation from law school in 1977, he served as law clerk to the Honorable Robert Snyder, and administrative assistant to three chief judges of the Missouri Court of Appeals.
