Jenny’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation in federal and state courts across the country. She has experience with disputes involving mergers and acquisitions, fiduciary duties, corporate governance, fraud allegations, and securities, as well as environmental, white collar, and government-related matters (both on behalf of and against government entities, and both as plaintiff and defendant). Jenny also has written appellate briefs in civil and criminal cases. She has worked with clients in tech, energy, oil and gas, cannabis, retail, private equity, finance, and fintech.
Prior to joining Dowd Bennett, Jenny was an associate at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP, where she worked on high-profile, high-stakes cases, including an expedited “busted deal” proceeding, a lawsuit against the IRS, and defense of an individual facing bank and securities fraud criminal charges. Jenny began her legal career at another international law firm as an M&A and corporate associate, and she is skilled at dissecting complex corporate and financial transactions at the center of business disputes and fraud claims. Jenny clerked for the Honorable Melissa Hart on the Colorado Supreme Court and is a graduate of Harvard Law School, University of Virginia, and Yale College. Before law school, she was a doctoral candidate in literature and a middle school teacher; she has taught reading, writing, and literature to students of all ages.
