Jeffrey R. Hoops is a litigator who represents clients in complex commercial and appellate litigation. He has experience in a wide variety of practice areas, including securities litigation, environmental litigation, class actions, and white collar defense.
Jeff participates in all phases of trial preparation, including the formulation of case strategy, motion practice, depositions, and expert discovery. He has written successful dispositive motions and briefed and argued appeals on a range of issues.
Before joining Dowd Bennett, Jeff was a litigation associate at Williams & Connolly LLP in Washington, D.C., where he represented clients in complex civil litigation in both state and federal courts throughout the country.
Jeff is a former law clerk to the Honorable Deborah L. Cook of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and to the Honorable S. James Otero of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
