James B. (Jimmy) Martin defends individual and corporate clients in complex commercial and business litigation throughout the country. In the past several years he has successfully tried to conclusion, including as first chair counsel, a number of jury trials, bench trials, and arbitrations. Jimmy routinely argues in contested court hearings and conducts key depositions of both fact and expert witnesses. He has litigated matters involving breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, trade secrets, employment, corporate governance, fraud, products liability, tortious interference, negligence, false claims, sports law, and regulatory issues, among others. His clients span a wide range of industries including healthcare, finance, and manufacturing.
In addition to his commercial litigation practice, Jimmy represents clients in white collar matters and other government agency investigations. He also conducts corporate internal investigations.
As appellate counsel, Jimmy has briefed or argued appeals in the Missouri Court of Appeals and the United States Courts of Appeals for the Third and Eighth Circuits.
Jimmy received his undergraduate degree from Yale University and graduated first in his class from St. Louis University School of Law.
