Sheena Hamilton Appointed to American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Membership
Dowd Bennett partner Sheena Hamilton was appointed to the American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Membership for a three year term. The ABA is the nation’s largest and most diverse organization of lawyers. SCOM is charged by the ABA Constitution and Bylaws to encourage applications for membership and formulate plans for maintaining and increasing membership. Ms. Hamilton, who is wrapping up her three year, elected term on the ABA’s Board of Governors, has a history of service to the 400,000 member organization. She currently serves as the Board’s Ethics Committee Chair and a member of the Board’s Section, Division, and Forum Working Group. She previously served as a Section of Labor and Employment Law Fellow and the Managing Editor of TYL Magazine. She received two consecutive Star of the Year Awards for “exemplary performance of duties in service to the public and the ABA.”
At Dowd Bennett, Ms. Hamilton specializes in employment and complex commercial litigation along with corporate internal investigations. She manages all aspects of litigation proceedings defending employers in state and federal courts or before administrative agencies.
