Dowd Bennett Partner Michelle Nasser Selected to Serve on the Magistrate Judge Merit Selection Committee for the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Missouri

In January 2021, Michelle Nasser was selected by the judges of the Eastern District of Missouri to serve on the Magistrate Judge Selection Committee for consideration of reappointment of Magistrate Judge Noelle C. Collins and Magistrate Judge Abbie Crites-Leoni.  In accordance with the Federal Magistrate Act of 1979, merit selection panels composed of lawyers and non-lawyers in a community assist district courts in recommending the top candidates for federal magistrate judge positions and recommending whether to reappoint incumbent magistrate judges when their terms expire.
