Dowd Bennett prepares dinner for families at Ronald McDonald House
On Sunday, July 15, 2018, several Dowd Bennett employees and their families volunteered to prepare and provide a home cooked meal for the residents at the Ronald McDonald West House location. The Ronald McDonald House promotes “Home for Dinner,” a program that allows the residents to eat a home cook meal without cost during a medical uncertainty time. The West location is home to approximately 50 residents at all times.
Each Dowd Bennett employee was responsible for a specific item to purchase and the team worked together to prepare a home-cooked meal for the guests. The meal consisted of grilled beef tenderloin, with many delicious sides and desserts that included smores and ice cream. House residents eagerly awaited the delicious food and enjoyed conversations with the Dowd Bennett team during the food preparation and meal. The volunteers from Dowd Bennett enjoyed the opportunity to make a difference for these families during a tough time. As the Dowd Bennett team left, we received “thank you” again from the recipients. This is just another opportunity for the Dowd Bennett team to be involved in community efforts.
