The Missouri Court of Appeals has turned down Deanna Daughhetee Vinson’s appeal to the end of her subprime marriage to fellow mortgage dynamo Ray Vinson.
A three-judge panel of Roy Richter, Glenn Norton and Clifford Ahrens said St. Louis County Circuit Judge Michael Burton got it right the first time.
Richter, in writing the opinion, pointed out that the divorce, which included no custody issues and no request for maintenance, “consumed eleven days of hearings and more than 2,700 pages of transcript. The trial court’s detailed judgment is 54 pages long.”
Daughhetee contested the trial court’s ruling that her ex-husband had any interest in American Equity Mortgage, that AEM stock was marital property and the value of the company.
