Joseph S. Burch leads Dowd Bennett’s electronic discovery practice. Joe focuses on complex electronic discovery matters and related evidentiary and technical issues. He oversees document reviews involving over forty team members and productions involving many millions of pages. But, he also handles electronic discovery for smaller matters involving only a few hundred produced documents.
Joe is familiar with several different electronic document review platforms and industry best practices related to electronic document collection, searching, hosting, and production.
Joe also regularly advises on ESI protocols, production specifications, protective orders, and privilege logs.
Joe is a member of the Sedona Conference Working Group 1 on Electronic Document Retention and Production as well as Working Group 11 on Data Security and Privacy Liability. And, he has guest lectured at the University of Missouri, Columbia School of Law on topics of eDiscovery.
Prior to joining Dowd Bennett, Joe performed large multi-attorney electronic discovery review projects for corporate clients where he learned industry skills and technology.
